THE EMOTIONAL MOAT

Through metaphorical storytelling, The Emotional Moat narrates the alienation seeded by virtual relations. The analysis of "visual fanaticism" presented in 2015 in The Photographer's Choice here extends to the deceptive usage of the words "relationship," "connection," “memory” and “intelligence.”

Seeking explanations for the vastity of the moat, my research points beyond the misuse of gadgets. It shows two neuroses thrusting a destructive force. One is panic about the future; the other is the obsession to disfigure and ultimately obliterate the past. Peeling off layers of ancient rancor and hidden manipulations, this story focuses on serial traitors to the human condition and their cult: Cosmic Narcissism.
